About Pragmancers
Our place is supposed to be a home for a democratic community of people with pragmatic approach to tulpamancy. Or pragmancers like some people started calling us. Who exactly are pragmancers?
Pragmancers are tulpamancers.
According to our guide, the essence of tulpamancy is building a genuine relationship with an imaginal companion upon genuine interactions.
Being a tulpamancer is a necessary condition for being a pragmancer. Keep in mind that it includes people wanting to have a tulpa regardless of their current progress.
Pragmancers are pragmatic.
We are pragmatic as in focus on practice and results. We are not just theorycrafting about possibilities but actively building our relationship with tulpas. A pragmancer commits to genuinely interact with their tulpa in purpose of actually building a genuine relationship with them.
Furthermore, tulpamancers use the practice to their advantage.
Pragmancers are materialist (rather than idealist).
A pragmancer agrees that mind comes from the body. There is no world of ideas existing in separation of material world. Tulpamancy isn’t exceptional - our interactions happen in our head, physically. And they are shaped by our material conditions just like our thinking in general is.
Pragmancers are dialectical (rather than metaphysical).
The essence of our practice is an instance of the 1st law of dialectics: passing of quantitative changes into a qualitative change. Tulpas are not self-contained beings that exist in separation. In tulpamancy it’s separation that being the illusionary part and pragmancer should realize that. It also works in the other way around – we are not separate from our tulpas.
Summary
Pragmancers are tulpamancers who:
- actually practice tulpamancy understood as building a genuine relationship with their tulpas, based upon experienced genuine interactions rather than beliefs,
- agree that mind and body are indivisible and our material conditions shape our thoughts, including those associated with the tulpas,
- agree that tulpas are not self-contained beings existing in separation but parts of the same human being, interdependent with us.
As Pragmatic Tulpamancers we’d like build a community for like-minded people.
